History of the Curia Rotau vulgo FiSCHERGUT zu Radau

A farm has always combined work and life under one roof, working with land, soil and animals. The fish farm also meant home and livelihood for many families and generations.

The Fischergut or Mayrhof estate was first documented in 1416 in the Urbar, the inventory of goods belonging to Mondsee Abbey, under the name Curia Rotau. That was more than 600 years ago. It already existed then and was probably founded considerably earlier. For many families and generations, the estate meant home and livelihood.

Here is a brief historical overview of the property owners of the last 600 years...
"This house is mine and yet not mine. He who comes after me can only borrow it. And if he hands it over to the third, he can only have it for his life. The fourth is also carried out, tell me, to whom does this house now belong?"
